place in the world’s most famous galleries. This season, Prologue will put
women’s artistic ability on display as we explore the stories of female visual
artists from the past and connect you to Chicago’s thriving art community.

This lyrical and heart-rending drama draws a picture of a
dream deferred in an artist and her friends in 1870s France who are barred from
participating in the planning of the first Impressionist exhibition.

Landmark Festival will incorporate short works both new and forgotten on the
theme of women in art.
A Ribbon around a Bomb

This world-premiere
musical explores the stories of forgotten female
artists through the eyes of a struggling young painter.

Inspired by
true events, this thoughtful and witty play follows a young girl who is
fascinated by painter Egon Schiele and his lover. Tatjana discovers the
possibilities of a world larger than her 1912 Austrian village and tests the
bonds of her family in the process.
